Unfortunately for racing fans, this year’s Forza Motorsport will not have Splitscreen gameplay at launch. In the August 2023 Forza Monthly Broadcast, the Creative Director at Turn 10, Chris Esaki, confirmed that Forza Motorsport would not have the split screen gameplay feature when the game launches in October. Sadly, it’s not all good news, as it’s been revealed during the recent Forza Monthly show that a number of features will not make it into Forza Motorsport at launch. These include Split Screen racing, AI racers won’t be available in multiplayer, and Spectator Mode (no, not our podcast). You can see and hear the bad news for yourself in For Forza Motorsport 5 on the Xbox One, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "Question about split screen and multiplayer". I'm looking for a game that lets me play two players sat side by side on a Win10 PC (it's a decent gaming PC). I want to race with each player having their own wheel/pedals, on the same PC with a split screen.
Let's not forget that PGR 3 was released with the Xbox 360 in November 2005. And what a game. It was the first truly 7th generation racing game. It features party modes (as seen in DiRT 3) for a good mess with friends, split-screen local gameplay, a career mode, achievements, medals and a variety of modes & tracks for TrueSkill ranked matchmaking.
Norton 360 Deluxe; Avast One Platinum; but online racing is there, and split-screen mutliplayer exists, hidden under a flurry of menus. Forza Motorsport 6 (for Xbox One) $29.99 at GameStop.
